"Every individual matters.
My Philosophy.
My teaching philosophy is based on respect for persons, Love and Logic, formation of the whole person and 21st Century Skills. I will achieve these principals by creating meaningful relationships and providing a positive environment. My goal is to foster a place where my students' wonder and curiosity can arise and develop into critical thinking about the world around them. I want to cultivate their overall well-being by bringing examples of selflessness, love, and charity into the classroom.
As a future educator, I want to open my students' eyes to the world around them. I want their minds to be filled with wonder and curiosity. I want to walk with them on their journey into young adulthood, to watch them create, discover, and learn. I want my students to experience failure in order to grow and to build themselves back up to achieve their goals. I want to be a part of their joys in their friendships, successes, dreams, and passions.
Students' wonder and curiosity will be able to be expressed in their time in the lab and through their projects. Incorporating hands-on experience and critical thinking with applicable science concepts will allow the students to find the importance of their work and knowledge. I will incorporate reading within my classroom using various reading strategies. In my classroom students will be given a variety of tools to learn and to take their education further.
It is my job as an educator to provide a welcoming and safe environment where my students can thrive and grow into young men and women. I want my students to walk into my classroom and be loved and cared for the way they deserve to be. It is my job as their teacher to meet them where they are and take to them their potential.
