Christ in the City: Mission Trip
- Summer 2019, in Denver, CO to work with the homeless. I lived in community with the Christ in the City missionaries for ten days. This involved doing daily chores and serving the homeless. I went on street walks with a backpack filled with socks, water bottles, snacks, rosaries, and prayer cards. The intent for street walks was to encounter homeless people and offer a hand in friendship to care for and loved them.

Studying Abroad: Rome, Italy
- Fall 2018 I enrolled in the University of Mary Study Abroad Program, to study in Rome, Italy. I immersed myself into Italian and other European cultures throughout the semester long experience. I gained a better understanding and appreciation of cultures outside of my own. I traveled across the Atlantic with 24 other University of Mary students, whom I lived in community with for a semester. During this time, I learned how to care for others in my community and to strengthen my communication skills. In my experiences in Rome, I was constantly learning and growing as an individual.
